so Korea = not part of China whatsoever?

Korean History is not the part of Chinese.

Korea have never been a part of China but once we paid a tribute to China in the past.
You have to be careful to understand this because it doesn't mean that Korea was a part of China.

we used chinese when we didn't have our language. It was also long long time ago. It also doesnt mean we were a part of china. We spoke korean but used chinese for writing

^Actually we've used Chinese Character, not Chinese. (Government used sometimes)
We had our own language but we were not able to write it down, so we lend Chinese to write down.. till the Hangul invented
