Gambit Weekly #17 : 만약 니들이 프로를 안했다면?
|
Essentially, I'd follow in my father's footsteps and would finish my education at SPbNRU ITMO* and would work in the information security industry, even though I was tempted to make a living by doing sports (at that time I primarily considered chess, since I had been playing chess for 8 years, but I had to give up on chess due to my education, which I had to later on abandon in favour of eSports).
There is a chance that if League of Legends didn't exist I would have lots of spare time that I would use to eventually reach GML in SC2 (I managed to reach Master League, while I was occasionally coming across guys from GML, when I used to relax playing StarCraft II for 1,5 - 2 hours per day in my time off from League of Legends) and make a career out of it. Or else later on I'd play Hearthstone, where without a huge effort and simultaneously dedicating lots of time to League of Legends, I managed to reach the top of the ladder for three months in a row and even managed to win a couple of tournaments.
In any case, should I even become ten times more successful in any other game by now, if I am to look back, I would definitely choose League of Legends. Not only do I feel like I belong to this game, I met a lot of great people, whom I am still friends with, but, most importantly, this game allowed me to meet my special someone.
