어제 조탁 때문에 화나서 메일써봄..

This is a korean wc3 fan writing some comments about the ongoing zotac scene. Before I begin, I would like to add that I am really grateful to zotac cup in many ways. Although the wc3 scene is fading away, zotac has maintained its position to support wc3, and every week we, the korean fandom, are enjoying to watch many wc3 games. And also, as I was born in germany I feel much affected to the german league.(Ich bin ein Koreaner war aber in Deutschland geboren, und lebe jetzt in Korea xD)

 

The koreans watch zotac league by using a special platform called 'afreeca'. Go)Xo6Fire, also known as Fyah, Fyahtv.com, HMM.Fyah shows us the games by obsing and commentating himself. As you may well know, He is also a participant in the zotac cup, though he gave up many games in order to show us many games that are held between famous players - games that can't be watched unless he give up, and im deeply moved by this selfless act.

 

Some months ago, Fyah gained the opportunity to head into round 5 or 6? idk... The opponent was some strong human player. Verybigman? or whatsoever i dont remember. (If you request, I may search for the replay and accurate date, but im currently very busy to do such heavy tasks.) The map was SV. Fyah had Far seer and 5~6 raiders and the opponent had an 3 lv am and 4 footies. Fyah managed to destroy the humans expo and was heading towards the human main base, while the human players was making its move to attack Fyahs base. the human base was defenseless, and Fyah had tp. On the other hand Fyahs base had 4 burrows, and th AM had no tp. At that point the game broke, and Fyah was disconnected out of the game. Though it was obvious that Fyah had almost won the game, the staff decided that a rematch should be held.

I, at that time was watching it myself, and regardless of the fact that I am Fyahs fan, and that I am korean, it really was obvious that the human had lost the game. Because Fyah is not fluent in speaking or writing or understanding(TT) english, I wrote to Fyah how he should counter and talk to the admins. I translated the things that he wanted to say, and he sent them to the admins. These efforts were in vain. The admin said that our claim could not be accepted(without even explaining why, without even explaining what was wrong of my statement, the admin forced Fyah to rematch). Deeply shocked and disappointed about the staffs decision Fyah decided to give up the match, and concentrated on the commentary.

 

Here I would like to post what I had written that day :

 

9.1 In case of a disconnect in the first 4 minutes of the game, it will be restarted, if there was no first-opponent-contact. The players have to involve a referee if the problem appears frequently. For the regame the players have to choose the same races like in the first match.�
9.2 If a player disconnects after 4 minutes of the game, it’s the choice of the opponent whether the game will be restarted or not. A referee has to be informed in every case!�
9.3 If the disconnected player obviously won the game, the replay must be uploaded to a referee. He will decide whether there will be a regame or not.�

These are the rules that are mentioned in the home page of zotac cup.
Let's decipher this in a very calm and slow mood.
It is stated in 9.2 that it's me who can decide the regame. Like 9.3, only if the disconnected player obviously won the game the referee will decide the regame.
But was it a clear win for starshaped? no! He didn't even have the slightest possibility to win because with 4 footies and 1 archmage you can't finish the game.
Let's say that he cleaned up my burrows(which is also almost impossible if the peons repair well). What will happen next? He has no tech-tree, no money, no units. It's absolutely impossible for him to win.

I don't understand why you are violating the rules that you have written yourselves. If you are deciding that this is a regame, are you implying that starshaped(who was disconnected) won the game? You must be out of your mind! You don't even know about wc3 do you?

 

(I was really angry at that time, and therefore this is a bit aggressive :D )

 

And secondly, I would like to talk about yesterdays game, Focus vs Pornosonik. Focus killed both DH and BM(Beastmaster) once, and many of his were troops were still alive. His heroes were both lvl 2, and his buildings were all in good shape, he had no problem at all. On the other hand, Pornosonik had DH and 3 talons which didn't even start the master upgrades, and were still on the way to focus's base.

But the admin decided defwin for Pornosonik.

How can this happen?

 

3.6.1 In case of disconnects in the first 4 minutes of the match, it will be restarted if there was no first-opponent-contact. The participants have to involve a referee if the problem appears frequently.

3.6.2 If a participant disconnects after 4 minutes into the match, it is the choice of the opposing participant whether the match will be restarted or not. A referee has to be informed in any case!

3.6.3 If the disconnected participant obviously won the match, the replay must be uploaded to a referee who then will decide whether the match will be restarted or not.

3.6.4 For the rematch participants have to choose the same races as in the first match. In the case of random races participants have to choose the race that was chosen by the game in the previous match.

 

These are the rules. It is true that like 3.6.3 the referee has the upper hand to decide whether the rematch should be held or not. In case of Fyah, how can you not decide to give the defwin to Fyah? This is a clear violation of the 3.6.2. And in the case of Focus, it should have been a defwin for focus, or at least a rematch because there weren't many clues to decide who was winning the game. About the case of focus, i heard that many of the admins said that focus was in favor, but Meep only said that Sonik was winning, and because Meep(who is known to be acquainted with Sonik; this information by the way may not be genuine because it is something i haven't seen with my own eyes) was the head, it was decided as a defwin for Sonik. But shouldn't it have been decided by the vote of majority?

 

When NGL-One was held, I wrote a letter to the admins to. Because I felt that there were some racial discriminations regarding koreans. I can't disagree that what I am feeling now is much similar to the emotions and thoughts that I had at the time of watching NGL. At that time, the NGL manager promised to me that such things do not exist, and they will try their best not to give such implications.

Could I have the same answers from you, too? Could you promise that from now on, there won't be violations, and that the judgements should be held fairly? Please read this in a slow and thorough way, and let me know your answers. plz :D

p.s. There has been rumour about pornosonik using some other player or computer to inform himself about the games that he is playing. For example yesterday, many incidents in which pornosonik's moves were odd(though he had no clue that remind was creeping somewhere, he abruptly stopped creeping himself and headed to remind's place) and this indicated that he was cheating somehow. Somehow, he brought every game a fellow players who was told to be a fan or friend of him. It is suspected that this player was next to sonik with his computer, showing how the game is going on through observing. Though this is just a suspection, many clues show that this could be true, and this kind of cheating should be eradicated from the zotac scene. Could you inspect more about whether this is true or not?

요 부분은 좀 논의가 많이 필요한 부분이 아닐까 싶습니다.

저 규정은 사실 강제성이 좀 있는 부분인데다 선수의 이해관계에 직접적으로 작용되므로 적용하는데에도 다소간 무리가 따를 수 있고해서...

내용은 어제 포커스님의 판정패(디스패)와 좀 옛날 파야님이 다 이긴 경기를 재경기를 가야했던 상황에 대한 항의입니다. 덧붙여서 소닉의 귀맵 가능성에 대해서도 조금 언급했구요. Take님 댓글이 포커스님에 관한 항의의 맹점을 제대로 찝어주셨네요. 저런 규정을 직접 인용해놓고도 자세히 살펴보지 않고 보낸 건 제 실수가 너무나도 큽니다(그냥 보내지말걸..)
최근 아프리카 채팅창 내에서 Dis-m(생략)님이 계속 외국어를 남발해서 많은 분들이 아니꼬운 시선으로 바라봐주셔서 이런 글을 올리는 것을 자제해야 하지 않나하는 생각도 했지만 그냥 올렸습니다 -ㅅ- 논의할만한 좋은 피드백과 나쁜 피드백(영어 왜 이리 못함 <- 이런 식의?)은 항상 환영합니다만, 제가 자주 확인이 가능할지는 의문입니다
