4.11 Private Beta Patch Notes (Do not discuss on forums.)
Gameplay
- Modified loading screen.
- Added Jim.Raynor
- New command: "-hl" (Hero Lock). Locks your selection to your hero, preventing you from selecting enemy
units.
- Floating Combat Text (-fct) has been removed for issues regarding latency.
- Added Crit Chance, heroes start with 0% Crit Chance. Crit Chance determines the probability of a Critical
Strike from physical attacks (all physical damage can critically strike).
- Added Crit Damage, heroes start with 100% Crit Damage. Crit Damage determines the damage bonus resulting
from a Critical Strike. 100% Crit Damage means +100% damage dealt.
- Critical Strikes are now affected by armor.
- Pools now regenerate shields at the rate of 7% per second.
- Creeps no longer start with armor.
- Creeps now gain +0.6% Damage Resist per stack of scaling.
- Creeps now gain 5% of their base health/shield per stack of scaling (every 7 minutes), instead of 20 health
per stack.
- Talent systems added.
- Game now supports up to 3 spectators.
- Creep movement speed is now 2.85, up from 2.25.
- Heroes now start with two additional abilties: Vitalize and Energize
Vitalize: Restore 100+(LVL*10) health to yourself, and 50% of that to nearby heroes. Heals for 50% less if
the target has been healed in the last 8 seconds. 5 minute cooldown. This ability is removed upon learning
Shrivel, Evasion, or Flash.
Energize: Restore 150+(LVL*15) energy to yourself, and 50% of that to nearby heroes. Restores 50% less if
the target has been healed in the last 8 seconds. 5 minute cooldown. This ability is removed upon learning
Sprint, Last Stand, Reboot, or two T1 Talent Abilities (Shrivel/Evasion/Flash).
Talents
- Players start with 25 talents that can be distributed amongst 3 trees.
- Players can save up to 5 builds. Builds can be renamed and reset. If you have not yet configured your
build, a default build is set in place for you.
- Hero Select UI modified to include Talent build selection. Builds will only be applied to your hero during
hero select. Modifying them during the course of a game will have no effect on your character.

Serrated Cleaver
- Damage increased to 35, up from 30.
- Passive removed.
- Now grants +13% Crit Chance.
Pulse Hammer
- STR bonus increased to 200, up from 130.
- Damage bonus increased to 35, up from 30.
- Recipe cost increased to 1400, up from 700.
- Passive is now unique.
- Passive reworked: 25% chance to stun for 1 second and deal 40 bonus damage. If the target is more than 1.5
units away, the chance to stun is reduced to 10%. 3 second internal cooldown. Passive does not stack.
Darksteel Titan
- Damage bonus increased to 80, up from 60.
- Cast range of Marines increased to 50 units. up from 40.
Infernal Shard
- Passive removed.
- Now grants +15% Crit Chance.
- Now grants +10% Crit Damage.
Twin Paradox Isolator
- Recipe cost increased to 900, up from 500.
Primal Gutter
- Passive removed.
- New Passive: Units attacking you will lose 10% MS and AS for 1.5 seconds.
- Weapon damage bonus removed, down from 10.
- Now grants 175 health.
- Recipe cost increased to 900, up from 600.
Hand of Mengsk
- Damage amplification decreaesd to 20%, down from 30%.
- Now lasts 8 seconds, down from 13.
Sanctum Relic
- Reduced animation density to 8:1, down from 3:1.
- Reduced lifesteal to 17%, down from 20%.
Smoke Screen
- No longer inherits colors from the owner.
Psiblaster Beacon
- Laser beams from Psiblaster Marines are now green
Psionic Lasher
- Now drains 45 energy, up from 35.
Hyperion Shield Generator
- Active removed:
- New Active: Increase your Time Scale by 100% for 6 seconds. During this time, you take 25% less damage.
Sunflare Gun
- Damage increased to 300 +20% of primary attribute, up from 400.
- Damaged units no longer recieve -90% Time Scale.
Isomorphic Pyre
- Damage bonus changed to 4% of the target's maximum health.
- Bonus damage is now spell damage instead of true damage.
- Passive damage bonus is now unique.
Spell Buffer
- Shield bonus reduced to 100, down from 150.
Vagabond.Darpa
- Sonic Grenade now silences properly at levels 2,3,4.
- Sonic Grenade range increased to 7, up from 5.5.
- Attack range increased to 5, up from 4.5.
- Tracking Spider now deals 30/45/60/75 (+5% AGI) damage, up from 20/35/50/65 (+4% AGI) damage.
- Desperado Jump range increased to 7/9/11, up from 6/7/8.
System.Cyprus
- Added icons.
- Kingdom of Terra reworked: Each time a unit dies near Cyprus, a Stone Pillar is raised in its place for 6
seconds.
- Terrablink cooldown increased to 25/22/19/16, up from 15/13/11/9.
- Terrablink energy cost increased to 120 at all levels, up from 60.
- Terrablink now leaves behind a trail of Stone Pillars, up to 4, based on the distance traveled.
- Seismic Wave damage decreased to 50/75/100/125 (+10% INT) immediate damage, down from 60/90/120/150 (+7%
INT).
- Seismic Wave pillar bonus damage decreased to 15/20/25/30 (+1% INT) per pillar, down from 20/30/40/50 (+2%
INT).
- Seismic Wave pillar bonus damage area of effect increased to 3.5, up from 2.7.
- Seismic Wave cooldown increased to 10 at all levels, up from 9.
- Fist of Gaia cooldown increased to 90/80/70, up from 90/75/60.
- Fist of Gaia cast range increased to 8, up from 7.
- Attack range increased to 5.5, up from 5.3.

- Causatic Salve now heals/damages for 75/100/125/150 (+10% INT), up from 75/100/125/150 (+4% INT).

- Optic Beam damage increased to 30/45/60/75 (+8% INT) up from 30/45/60/75 (+7% INT).
Shadow.Geminus
- Shade damage increased to 90/170/250/330 (+10% AGI), up from 90/150/210/270 (+7% AGI).
Subterran.Unix
- Added icons.
- Metabolic Parasite base damage inceased to 40/70/100, up from 30/50/70.
- Infested Airborne Division units now have 30% Spell Resistance.
Vorpal.Valedict
- Vorpal Spheres now turn red as they decay.
- Dark Matter no longer affects Neutral Creeps.
- Fixed a bug causing Dark Surge to instakill players in Chronosphere.
Sarah.Kerrigan
- Changed icon for Exhume.
Geminus.Boros
- Spell Storm now prevents you from using other abilities.
- Spell Storm damage reduced to 60/80/100/120 (+2% STR), down from 70/90/110/130 (+3% STR).
- Omnislash no longer deals splash damage.
- Psionic Bola is no longer intercepted by Light units.
- Burning Blade now deals spell damage, instead of pure damage.
Chuck.TBone
- Fixed tooltip error in Capactitive Clip (6% -> 9%).
- Echo Matrix no longer procs off Light units.
Molgloo.Grunty
- Added icons.
- Swamp Trap now reveals a small area of radius 2 around itself.
BioTron.Tyrannitus
- Fixed tooltip error in Hive Master (2% -> 4.5%, 2% -> 2.5%).
- Infected Civilians now deal 60% less damage to structures.
Lord.Zyrkhan
- Overdrive damage reduced to 20/30/40/50 (+2% STR), down from 15/30/45/60 (+3% STR).

Infernal.Mandrake
- Cast range of Molten Lance reduced to 6/7/8/9, down from 6/8/10/12.
Rory.Swann
- Chronorift Fortification armor bonus decreased to 150/300/450/600, down from 300/600/900/1200.
- Flaming Stevie now deals pure damage.
Micro.Gravitus
- Added icons.
- Spatial Flux cast range increased to 6/7/8/9, up from 5/6/7/8.
- Expand! now grants 120/210/300 Strength, up from 90/180/270.
- Expand! no longer reduces weapon speed.
- Expand! now increases movement speed by 4/8/12%.
Tiberius.Rancor
- Resourcefulness reworked: Rancor gets a +LVL*10% bonus effect to all consumables.
- Rancor weapon range increased to 6.5, up from 6.
- Satellite Vision cooldown decreased to 40/30/20/10, down from 60/45/30/15.
- Dead Eye Lockdown cooldown decreased to 12, down from 15.
- Dead Eye Lockdown now has a break range of 5, up from 1.
- Dead Eye Lockdown energy cost decreased to 70/85/100/115, down from 95/110/125/140.
- Dead Eye Cloak Field now boosts movement speed by (2%/50 AGI), up from (1%/50 AGI).
- Dead Eye Cloak Field energy cost reduced to 70, down from 90.
- Dead Eye Cloak Field cooldown decreased to 60/45/30/15, down from 60 at all levels.
- Attacking out of Dead Eye Cloak Field now supresses cloak for 1.5 seconds, down from 3.
- Armageddon recharge time decreased to 20 seconds, up from 25.
- Armageddon energy cost reduced to 70/90/110, down from 8/95/110.
- Armageddon now has a 1 second delay between uses.
- Armageddon damage increased to 150/250/350 (+5% INT) damage, up from 80/150/220 (+8% INT).
- Armageddon now slows enemies by 30% for 5 seconds.
